Présentation
À propos de moi
I'm a grad student at Notre Dame (going for an M.A. in theology). Having prior studied philosophy, taught high school Latin, and worked as a stand-up comic, clearly, I have a knack for finding the high-paying careers.
With the few funds I do have, I love to travel, meet great people, and explore the myriad of places I haven't been. Hopefully you can help play a role in that!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
1. On my meager student's pence, I'd humbly welcome anyone who can help put me up. It's great to meet new people in new cities. Sharing conversations (philosophical and lazy alike), finding quiet pubs and bookshops, and learning about a new place as I sleep on your beloved couch is always a nice little adventure.
Centres d'intérêt
I usually like to read (continental and medieval philosophy and Russian literature are big on my list), but you can often find me swilling a beer or two and watching football. I used to perform stand up comedy, so I also like to watch and study comedy. I've been a drummer for years, and I have pretty broad music tastes (a hint of those below).
- poetry
- impressionism
- sketching
- indian food
- beer
- jazz
- fishing
- boxing
- cricket
- philosophy
- psychology
- comedy
- theology
- curling
- drumming
- post-punk
- russian literature

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I met Lavar Burton of Star Trek fame in a bar and bought him a beer.
If they don't include me in the next Star Trek reboot, this will be my biggest regret.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
If you want to learn anything about the humanities, beer, or the Midwest US, I can probably bore or educate ad nauseam. I've taught Latin and German in the past, if those are languages you'd like to improve. Moreover, if you'd like to talk about philosophy in a way that transcends the musings of your drunk uncle, I can hopefully help there, too!
