Hi! My name is Nikki and I am a student from Fresno, CA, USA. I juggle school, work, volunteering in my community and spending time with my family while trying to feed my insatiable desire for travel. I enjoy learning about different people and places, trying new foods, and looking for adventure wherever I am.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm so happy I found Couchsurfing! I decided to join because I love to travel, and some of my best and most fulfilling experiences have been those I've shared with local families and hosts. I am looking for a travel experience that allows me to see the world through the eyes of another, and I believe one of the only ways to gain that unique experience is to make meaningful connections with those truly immersed in their community. I joined Couchsurfing to meet new people, share in their culture, and to see what the world is like from their perspective.
Baking, cooking (sometimes), traveling, reading, attending local theater and shows, playing the ukulele, spending time near the ocean, hanging out in coffee shops, spending time with friends, learning new things
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've done is jump off a boat into the middle of a feeding frenzy of nurse sharks off the coast of Belize. Because nurse sharks are docile I wasn't worried for my safety, but it was a pretty crazy experience getting to observe these sharks in their natural habitat, especially while they were feeding.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my culture, interesting conversation, a good meal/a cup of coffee, laughter, friendship, and gratitude with hosts!
Countries I’ve Visited
