ABOUT ME

I'm a history student, but actually also interested in meeting living people :-) I'm a pretty friendly and open guy, during the semester I enjoy hanging out with my friends, taking the weekends off to go hiking and playing music (Cello). Whenever I get the chance I'm off traveling someplace else. Spent a year studying in Spain, another at a high school in Alaska so I feel very much at home away from home:-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting people whenever our couch is available and my roommates don't object, which they usually don't :-) If I can't host I've usually got time at least to hang out and show you around!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just began recently; so far had some great encounters through couchsurfing and hope to meet more people and make friends surfing as well as hosting.

Interests

Anything in the outdoors, really, mostly trekking, snowboarding, traveling (of course), live music, reading good books, museums, cooking and eating :-)

Music: mostly Rock through its entire history, blues, alternative country, reggae and of course classical music.
Books: lately "the other" (david guterson), "into the wild" (krakauer), "las voces del pamano" (jaume cabre), "los santos inocentes" (Miguel Delibes), "the perfect fool" (Stewart Lee).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After hiking through snow and mud for days in Alaska, waking up to a blue sky and Mt McKinley sparkling just across the valley...

I can teach you how to make fire with a bowdrill! I love to learn new languages, I'm willing to share my own in exchange :-)
