About Me

I live in Cologne for almost 9 years now and I totally love it! I grew up in a small town in the south of Germany and as soon as I turned 18 I moved to this amazing and beautiful city. I'm an open-minded, energetic and adventurous person. I love to meet new people and listen to their stories. Traveling is a big passion for me and I fulfilled one of my dreams and traveled around the world for 6months. I love to learn more about different cultures, languages, food and people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling to all those places that this beautiful world has to offer. Couchsurfing is such a good possibility to meet people that live and embrace their culture. For me, traveling is not about ticking off sightseeing spots from a list. I want to learn more about the languages, try to cook local dishes and hear stories from authentic experiences. Right now I'm not able to host myself but I'm definitely looking forward to it in the future!

Music, Movies, and Books

I often prefer a good book over a movie but if I'm really tired you will find me in front of the TV. I do read a lot and I'm mostly interested in classics but recently I focused more on books like "Thinking Fast and Slow" and "Why We Sleep"- kind of books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling the world as a female solo traveller can be tough but also interesting. You encounter so many different people and opportunities that it's always hard to pick a favourite. But I think one of the funniest one was licking the Great Wall of China. Because if you haven't tried it, you can't say you don't like it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I lived for a couple of months in South Korea and this culture just fascinates me. I love traveling around Asia and especially Asian food is one of my favourites so I would love to dive deep in different Asian food comas with you.
I also traveled solo to a couple of places and I'm happy to share travel tips, recommendations and funny stories.
And if you're into science, I have to admit I'm a little science nerd (which might explain why I'm doing a PhD in Biology now...haha)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can entertain people with my stories from all over the world. I love to share experiences with other people and talk about places that maybe both of us have been before or want to go someday. But if you are into books or food, I can also share a lot of experience here :)
