ABOUT ME

My brother just returned from Amsterdam and told me about the CS2 project, which I found intriguing....I think it sounds like a fabulous way of traveling! :)
I am learning to cultivate mindfulness in my every moment and not take any second for granted. I have learned that cliches always have powerful messages in them, that you usually develop you own definitions to each one within your own subjective experiences. All my fears, joys, sadness, are just like yours, and I hope to develop the compassion to hold all of them. The world is tragic and beautiful, both exist in unity. You develop your own perceptions about your life, but your mind is not who you are, and there is always a deeper motive to the stories you tell yourself. I long to deeply feel all of my experiences and love and accept myself and others. 80% Vegan/vegetarian, 20% hot wing and BBQ lover. I love books and philosophy, I love laughing and physical embrace. I know that tears and pain are only a season and have felt the cleansing of my heart that accompanies their presence. "If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each mans life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility" (-Longfellow) I dont fit in your box, so please dont place me in a category. I like makeup, hair bleach, stilettos and giggling. I also love Buddhist meditation, ethical debates and reading. I am politically passionate and am saddened by the hijacking of the Christian religion by power and greed, no religion should be known for hate and judgement. I am full of contradictions and am attempting to save the five year old that lives inside of me from grown up land.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it is most important to be openminded about everything and not judge anything...I like to challenge definitions of my world and the words we use to express things...like "good" or "bad"...etc.

Also like Tom Jones, Chopin, Anything I can dance to, Crystal Method, The Beatles, The Clash, Mos Def, Guster, Franz Ferdinand, The Pixies, The B-52s
Movies I Heart Huckabees, Zoolander, Boondock Saints, Life as a House, This is Spinal Tap, American Beauty, The Royal Tennenbaums, Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure, Green Street Hooligans, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Amelie, Rushmore, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind....I like pretty much anything made by Focus Films, Christopher Guest, Wes Anderson, etc. I love movies that challenge my views on the world.
