À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

World Peace, of course. Nah, that's too easy...Current mission is to let my restless spirit never get enough rest.

ABOUT ME

Geez, this is intimidating. "All about me" in a few catchy phrases...I'm an "old soul", a thinker, a dreamer...usually living in the future but trying to love the moment (even if it's spent vacuuming or paying taxes -- ugh!) Thankful to live in an era of planes, trains, and automobiles...but long for the days of handwritten letters and cooking supper over the hearth (whatever that is). Trying to answer that ever-nagging question of "what really matters"...travel seems to help point me towards the answer. Sharing food, wine, and philosophies on life with strangers never gets dull. So, I'd love to meet you (and your couch) someday;)

PHILOSOPHY

Here we go again...my life philosophy is a work in progress. So far, these have worked for me:

1- Don't trust other's judgments. Give everyone & everything a chance.
2- honesty wins. cheaters never prosper.
3- buy experiences, not possessions.
4- God is real. And everywhere.
5- Life is what you make it.
6- Never stop learning. When you do, you die.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just heard about this couchsurfing craze from a dear friend and fellow wannabe-nomad (Hi Bek!). I couldn't wait to join. Not quite sure how this works, but I'm willing to spread the love by offering a couch...mine is quite comfy, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done the hosteling thing. The cultural homestay thing. I'm pretty laid-back and trusting of strangers, so couchsurfing seems perfectly natural. Who doesn't like to be in a home-sweet-home, even if it's not your own!

Centres d'intérêt

cooking (please, let me prove it!), reading, swimming, surfing (in the cyber-sense, not the salt-water-up-your-nose-sense...sorry bro), filing (anyone else out there obsessed with thier file cabinet?), writing love letters. Yes, I love people. And I let them know it. It only costs 39 cents, after all.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Seen a lot of cool places, especially in Eastern Europe. Most recently, moved to Savannah for no reason except I thought it sounded "pretty". Bought a house with no job. Luckily things worked out. Pretty crazy, but I can do better...

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I've taken lots of cooking classes, so we can have some fun in the kitchen. I'm also pretty good at being adventurous, so if you need a nudge I can give you a good pep talk.

Pays que j'ai visités

Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Philippines, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden

Pays dans lesquels j'ai vécu
