About Me

I'm all about music (mostly alternative Middle Eastern jams - of course American stuff too), healthy/natural eating, leisurely hiking, picnics, socialism, languages, meaningful travel, spontaneity, FITNESS, quality espresso, cooking, and respect. I love other cultures and relish the opportunity to explore.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling in Israel and Georgia (the one by Russia) before moving to Jordan in December. I'll be studying Arabic in Amman until June 2016. I'm hoping to find CS hosts in Israel as I travel around the country with a fellow CouchSurfer from my university in the US.

The Middle East is my dearest passion. I'm interested in positive people who are real and have lots of energy for adventuring. I hope to start graduate school in the US next fall and to focus on the Middle East. Ideally, I'll work as a professor so I can teach about and research in the region.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With friends, I smoked a certain plant that rhymes with "Benihana" in the Versailles Gardens (while listening to the full "Marie Antoinette" soundtrack), before swimming in the Dead Sea (yes, BEST IDEA EVER), during sunset at Mitzpe Ramon in the Negev Desert, and before having tea at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. But I swear I don't do that regularly!
