I'm all about music (such as alternative Middle Eastern jams - of course American stuff too), healthy/natural eating, leisurely hiking, picnics, socialism, languages, meaningful travel, spontaneity, fitness, Slow Food cooking, and respect. I love other cultures and relish the opportunity to explore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've used CouchSurfing for years to travel abroad and to host CSers. From partying at a Turkish Halloween party to showing a CouchSurfer around Jerusalem's Old City, I've had some brilliant times with the folks I've met through here. I have a strong belief in our community and I derive immense life satisfaction from hosting and being hosted by likeminded citizens of the world.
I'm interested in life experiences with positive people who are down to earth and have lots of energy for adventuring. The Middle East is my dearest passion. This has led me to learn Arabic and to use my language skills to serve as a case manager at my city's refugee resettlement agency. I primarily work with Arabic and Persian-speaking families.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts
I pledge to entertain you with grotesque American humor, including but not limited to stories about my grubby and grimy lived experience. I'll also be happy to design an Arabic tattoo for you or teach you how to cook Arab food, such as Shakshuka.
