Go everywhere, and see wild penguins.
I recently traded a full time job for flexible but reliable work in order to pursue my dreams of traveling the world.
My main interests are music (mostly punk and hardcore music), cycling and veganism.
I keep a blog about my travels:
I've been vegetarian/vegan for 4 and a half years. I love my decision to live this life and have no issues expressing my beliefs on that.
That being said I think personal freedom is extremely important and don't expect anyone to live the life I have chosen.
I love debating almost all topics - debates can lead to interesting conversations. As long as all parties understand and respect each others rights to have and express opinions.
I have no interest in racism or intolerance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I don't have a location for others to crash at, but I hope to change that after doing some travels. While I'm not traveling (and with out a couch to offer up) I would love to show people some great places in the NJ and Philly area.
I'm also familiar with NYC, but since I lived in Philly for 9 years I am more knowledgeable about that city.
All across the northern US and across Canada. Loved every minute of it so far. Surfed Ireland. Made long lasting friendships!
Music - Bouncing Souls, Paint It Black, Defeater, Swingin Utters, Sam Cooke, Chris Isaak
Art, architecture, camping, cycling, nature, hiking, meeting new people.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - punk, hardcore, soul and rockabilly music.
Books - The Outsiders. Night Watch series. Anything by Chuck Palahniuk or Kevin Sampson. History books.
Movies - Besides my love of terrible, aweful movies I have a few favorites - The Chronicles of Riddick, Josie and the Pussycats, Some Kind of Wonderful.
TV - I don't watch much but I loved Veronica Mars and Columbo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to a hardcore show in Palermo, Sicily and ended up having to crash at one of the local band member's houses because I was locked out of my hostel.
Slept on the beach in Brighton, England.
Teach, Learn, Share
Always atempt to befriend the locals.
I like to spread the good word of Couch Surfing to other travelers I meet on my journey.
I love discussing the CS community with my hosts to get their opinions and see exactly why they do it.
