To travel Indonesia, Australia, NZ and Fiji over the next 6 months and have as much fun as possible, while meeting like minded people, locals and other travellers and share experiences.
I'm a loyal, honest, outgoing 46 year old Brit with a good sense of humour. Life is too short to take too seriously and I like to live life to the full, trying as many new experiences as possible. I've taken a year out to travel SE Asia, Australia, NZ and Fiji and I'm having a ball. 6 months travelling so far and looking forward to the next 6. I have met so many great people on my travels and love new experiences.
My philosophy is what goes around comes around. I believe that treating people fairly and with respect, sharing experiences and being open and honest reaps it's own rewards.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to couch surfing and would love to get involved in local events, meet new people and host when I return to England in 2013.
None so far. Excited to give it a go.
Having just passed my open water and advanced diving courses (PADI), I'm trying to do as much diving as possible on my travels. I've always loved the water and swim whenever I can. Also love sightseeing, seeing ruins and getting to know the culture of these beautiful countries. Reading is a great pastime while travelling and read anything from Jeffrey Archer Sins of a Father to the trilogy Girl with the Dragon Tatoo. And I love socialising and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical taste is so varied it would take too long to list all. There isn't much I don't like, with the exception of garage and heavy rock. Films are much the same. My favourite film of all time is probably Shawshank Redemption with Morgan Friedman. Just fantastic. Love romantic comedies, thrillers, horrors (although don't like watching them alone), sci-fi. Not a lover of westerns.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. Watching a video while doing diving course of diver swimming with sharks, stroking their backs and hypnotising one.
2. Spending time with villagers in Vietnam and being welcomed into their family. Just amazing how happy they are with so little and how hospitable.
3. Losing my camera with valuable memories only for it to be given back to me. In England and was just amazed by the guys honesty.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have owned a couple of companies, started from scratch and have learnt a good deal about how to run and operate companies to make a profit. I can give business advice and ideas to anyone who needs it. Before travelling I did a TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) course and would love to speak to other teachers in different countries to hear about their experiences.
