To figure out what my mission is....
I am working on getting a Bachelor's degree in Music as well as Anthropology. I play the string bass (named Bubba) and an electric bass (named Bubbles) : ) I am a rather silly person, I love people and new experiences. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know people I love to talk and I'm very curious about everything.
I am a Christian. I do not associate with denominations, because in general I think they are silly. I believe in God and I've found that life is always a surprise. I try not to make plans that are too permanent, because every time I'm counting on something, good or bad, it seems to change. I know God has a plan for my life, but I also know that I can't find out what it is until it's happened. But this life and all of it's surprises are a gift and during the time that I have on this Earth I'm meant to learn, explore, enjoy, and hopefully leave it a little better place than it was before I got here. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the present time I do not have a couch available to offer to others, but I love to travel and am excited about joining this network.
I really like to run and swim to destress. I of course love music of many kinds. I'm most interested in doing outdoor activities like rock climbing, kayaking, and hiking when I travel. I love seeing nature and learning about culture/history. I also love to dance!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Green Rider (Kristen Britain), Animal Farm (George Orwell), The Hobbit (JR Tolkien), The Count of Monte Cristo (Alexandre Dumas),and more!
Movies: My Fair Lady, Muppet Treasure Island, Pan's Labrinth, V for Vendetta, Star Wars...
Music: ....too many, I think this is too difficult... :P
I have fairly eclectic tastes and it's not easy to narrow everything down and fit it into this little box, but there's a sampling of what I like.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was once a camp counselor in Northern Michigan by Alpena. The camp was close to Lake Huron and you could walk about 20 minutes through forest trails to get there. I used to run over to the lake shore and along it to a small harbor/lighthouse and back in the morning when the sun was rising. I have to say that it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The sky bursting with color and clear teal-blue water sparkling back at it, lapping up onto a rocky shore...not to mention large moss-covered trees and the beautiful forest area lining the shore. I saw deer, eagles, a couple owls, and other woodsy creatures all the time. That place really touched my heart. Its beauty and serenity like that that keeps me believing in God. It doesn't give a clear purpose, but it makes me feel at peace, refreshes me, and brings me energy. I look forward to seeing even more beautiful sights around the world, but Northern Michigan still takes my breath away when I get a chance to go up there.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a musician, I know quite a bit about it and could teach someone musical things. I am especially interested in music history stuffs and theory. I am studying ethnomusicology and love to learn more about different kinds of music from around the world. This is something I can always learn more about as well! :D
