mission plan: Vegas, baby, Vegas! surfing my way out to sin-city and back.
i'm gravely silly... and intensely laid back... and pretty open... yeah.
i like stuff, but don't want to accumulate much. i have impeccable tastes in food and other things, but prefer the simple over the lavish.
may the good Lord give you room to grow, space to explore, and time to travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
this is my first experience on this site, but i am a firm believer in sharing home with others (mine, theirs, yours). we really are all family, aren't we?
i've been a frequent surfer at friends' and family's homes, and i have also leant my couch to a good number of vagabonds and otherwise needy travelers.
i love stories: my own, true and fictional, as well as the life stories of others - how they have come to be who they are and where they are. and i am passionate about helping people to envision and walk into their hopefully brighter futures - to write their new stories.
i like to cook and i'm good at it (pizza, italian and thai, and lots more).
Music, Movies, and Books
pivotal books - and what they taught me:
The Razor's Edge (Maugham) - how to be in the moment;
Generation X (Coupland) - how to live your own story;
Pagan Christianity (Viola, Barna) - new view on my faith;
Balkan Ghosts (Kaplan) - how to experience a place in the present through knowing it's past
music: to be honest, i tend to prefer beautiful female voices and music that showcases them.
