About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live off-mainstream and out of the US job-box
ABOUT ME
The first thing people know about me is that I love to travel, but not many people know why. I travel to break up the routine of life, to connect with people who are culturally different from me, and to add some variety and diversity to my life. I enjoy the travel part of traveling as much as reaching and being at my destination; I like to just move. I love that at least half of my Facebook friends are people I've met while traveling within and outside of the US.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in personal responsibility and integrity, following ones dreams, and having a remarkable amount of fun.

Interests
My favorite past times are learning and discovering. I spend a lot of time reading and talking to people I meet in my local cafe and also in cafes when I travel. I love to walk, but I need a destination, preferably one that is several days away. I also enjoy car/road trips for the solitary thinking time. Movies, laughing, good conversation that gets me thinking, travel, singing when no one is listening, dancing when no one is watching, travel, learning...

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Drama, sophisticated comedy, anything honest with an intelligent script;
Music: mostly stuck in the 70's (think Elton John, James Taylor, Cat Stevens), John Butler Trio, Krishna Das for some chanting
Books: Salman Rushdie, anything about the Camino de Santiago, anything set in India that's well-written and takes more than a couple of hours to read
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most life-changing travel I've ever done was walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. It made such an impact on me that I have returned to walk the way another six times. A close second is India, which is my favorite country to visit overall. The colors, the intimacy, the heart of the Indian people, all make for an incredible adventure.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am an expert on the Camino de Santiago in Spain (done it 7 times). And I LOVE to talk about it, so do ask if you have a question. I know Rishikesh, India pretty well, and I love to talk about that, too.
I'd like to learn more about the major world religions and how they shape culture and daily life.
