ABOUT ME

I'm a marine biologist, turned aquarist, turned teacher, turned unemployed nomad. I love animals, sports, friends and family (not ALWAYS in that order). I have never chosen the easy path in life and I still stumble along the way but I don't regret a single step I have taken and look forward to all those trails yet to be blazed.

PHILOSOPHY

The words "here" and "now" are tattooed on my hands. Those are the two words I live by. You can't change the past and the future will never come exactly how you expect or hope for. Pay attention to the present moment and do the best you can to give yourself the best opportunity for happiness and peace.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I have a home, I would love to host people - not that there are alot of exciting people chosing Sacramento, CA as a travel destination. I'm currently working aboard a yacht and traveling in Europe, just looking to make some new connections in this short life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am totally new to this particular forum - I usually couch surf with people I already know so hopefully I can fill this space in more in the near future!

Intereses

Playing/watching/coaching sports (basketball, hockey, soccer/football, rugby, etc), listening to good music, knocking back a beer or 2, dancing, SCUBA diving, hiking, laying on a beach, being on a boat, working with kids, working with animals (sometimes those 2 are hard to tell apart), writing, reading, sharks... Let's go get a drink and I can remember all of the other things that I'm interested in!

Books: Anything by Dean Koontz, Roald Dahl and Dan Millman (his "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" is where I learned about the importance of here and now).

Algo increíble que he hecho

In my time as an aquarist I have gotten to work with alot of different species of sharks and I love these creatures. Through my jobs, I have had the opportunity to educate the public about the beauty and importance of these animals. I hope that through the educating I have done, I may have made a small impact on the sharks, and the people.
