Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not really Couchsurfing, but a fun story to tell: While living in Sweden during my senior year of high school as an exchange students, I became very good friends with a Chilean refugee named Yerko. Because I enjoyed my time so much in Sweden, I sought out summer programs that I could participate in. While studying in Upsalla University, I would travel back to the city I had lived in and visit Yerko. One particular weekend, I came to his door, knocked, and he answered. No pleasantries were exchanged. He only said, "The beer is in the kitchen." I then proceeded to the bathroom to clean up. Once finished, I went to the fridge and took out a nice cold beer.
His home was my home, and my home was his. And this holds true today...with all my friends.
