To see the world through a pair of a nomad's eyes
A nomad is probably a good word to describe me. I've lived in 4 different countries and spent at least 4 years in each of them. I'm also a bit of a foodie and an adrenaline junkie. When you combine the two of them, you get some sort of gastronomic adventurer, which means that I will eat anything at least once.
I was born a nomad, a happy one. I have been one, I am one, and I will always be one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined CS because I want to host and be hosted. I like to listen to people's travel stories and tell people of my stories. I feel that CS is a good opportunity for me to meet interesting people, learn about them, and be more open minded. Through CS, I can live my travel stories precariously through other travelers/nomads.
I used to host prospective students for admission purpose during undergraduate years. I've also had the pleasure of meeting some CSers and hosting a few CSers too.
I also like hosting weekend trips to the outer suburbs of Sydney to explore different culinary delights on offer.
Love: traveling, philosophy, art, gastronomic adventures (i.e. I will try/eat anything edible, if it's a challenge that's even better), dancing, folk rock, architecture (mostly mid-century modernism), furniture design, DIY, sushi, cooking, baking, swimming
Like: good artsy movies, the word "syzygy", cuy, Disney ('supercalifragilistiexpialidocious'), flip flops in winter (in the snow, even better), steampunk design
- adventure races

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Can't just give one. Instead, I'll give you some of the highlights of my life so far...
- Reaching the summit of Iliniza Norte
- Sunset at the Mindil Beach in Darwin NT
- Long country road drive between the Murrumbidgee and Melbourne
- Salami festival lunch in Griffith NSW
- Wine travel through Napa and Sonoma
- Hawker food hunting in Singapore. I waited in line for 35 minutes to get (supposedly) the best char kway teow in Singapore.
- Seeing The Tallest Man on Earth live at the Sydney Opera House
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a big lingo guy. I'd love to learn different languages, in particular Icelandic. I'm in the process of relearning Japanese. Took 3 semesters in college, but have completely forgotten it.
Cooking/baking is definitely my forte, so that's probably what I can teach. Following that, I can probably share good time, good food and wine with you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
