ABOUT ME

I'm 24 and mad about travel, linguistics, reading, meeting people. I am nuts about foreign film, enjoy quizzes and beer and I love to surf the net. I'm a leo, easy-going, friendly, and loyal and I'm looking to make as many great friends as possible through this site. I like writing, and photography and cooking as well.

PHILOSOPHY

Learn, learn, learn and travel, travel, travel. There is only one shot at this thing called life, so use it and gain from it. And experience things. You can't live your life if you don't try to find out about other people, other languages, the mistakes we've collectively made as a world, and all the good and beautiful things that you'll never find in your own land e.g. beer for under 50p and all lovely Turkish food and clean and cheap public transport and late night call in (easy) 'quizzes' hosted by naked plastic ladies. Music, Movies, and Books

Love European cinema e.g. Francois Ozon, Goodbye Lenin, der Fischer und seine Frau and Gespenster...really enjoy Sylvia Plath poetry and Carol Ann Duffy. Fiction-wise I am a big fan of J Winterson and Margaret Attwood. Oh and best actresses are Kate Winslet and Isabelle Huppert and the lovely and drop dead gorgeous Alexandra Maria Lara.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Voluntary work for the German War Graves commission...humbling work and tiring but my god friendships were forged that summer...

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to teach English or German to anyone who stays with me. I am not native German, but a lot of Germans can't tell that ;) I'm a linguistics buff as well so I could bore you to death about that if you like...
