ABOUT ME

I am an older female, 65 years old with two grown daughters and five grandchildren. I can hardly wait to retire. That way, I can be a full time artist rather than catching a minute hear and there. I have been going to thrift stores, stocking up on books I want to read when I have time and now I have run out of book room. I walk my dogs twice a day but still need more exercise time. My older sister developed a disease and that makes me doubly aware that life is short and I want to make the most of my time here. I meditate and do yoga although my body is no longer adapting to the asanas I used to do. I self-published a book of my poetry and enjoy turning my thoughts and feelings into poems. I host a plant and book exchange every year and love that everyone comes with something they no longer need or want, and go away with something new for their garden or something new to read. I love outdoor art, public art and have been the instigator of an annual banner festival in the village I live in. Everyone who wants to, makes a banner that is displayed on the town's telephone poles.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I look forward to hosting but as of this writing, I am looking forward to travel in Italy for a few weeks. I also belong to SERVAS but wanted to make sure I was not stranded in a strange town with nowhere to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as yet. I have had great experiences with belonging to SERVAS in England and Greece

I find I like adrenaline raising movies but not the kind that I have to hide my eyes from too frequently. Chick flicks are fun if they are not too corny. And drama. I love foreign films if they are not too slow. Documentaries are better than ever. Most recent popular movie I liked was Shutter Island.
