On my bicycle towing a bunch of crap (tent, sleeping bag, food, etc.) around this fascinating country. Blogging, Instagram'ing, all that good stuff. Being friendly, making friends. Cursing headwinds and praising tailwinds...
This is never fun. What do I write about myself? Actually, take a look at my interests. That will tell you quite a bit.
Additionally, I'm a tidy, well-mannered, quiet guy who gets along well with most anybody. Enjoy the occasional drink at a bar, but prefer to spend my time with coffee, a book, a pad and pen, or a laptop, quietly. I also love just wandering around new places, or old places, with or without my camera. Conversation is good if not forced -- there is something to be said about enjoying the company one is in simply for their presence.
"I've lived out my melancholy youth. I don't give a fuck anymore what's behind me, or what's ahead of me. I'm healthy. Incurably healthy. No sorrows, no regrets. No past, no future. The present is enough for me. Day by day. Today!" -H. Miller
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is lovely. Great way to meet new people. Great way to save some money if you're on a budget.
Myself, I'm here because… I dunno. It seems so obvious. As a host you get to help someone out, meet someone you wouldn't otherwise, share stories, what have you. As a surfer you're being helped out, which can often times be invaluable, and you get to save money for other bits of your travels, and again, meeting people.
Currently I'm cycling across/around the United States. Started in Annapolis, currently updating this in Richmond, VA. Plan on hitting up Charlotte, NC; Charleston, SC; Savannah, GA; then, who knows where on my way to LA. From LA—that has yet to be determined.
