About Me

Hey! My name is Aleksandar (internationally speaking, it's would be Alexander), and I'm from Serbia, more specifically, city of Kragujevac. I'm 24 years old. After elementary and high school, I moved to Belgrade (capital city of Serbia) to continue my education. There, I recently earned a bachelor's degree in journalism. :)
I'm open-minded, witty, and funny person to be around. :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about couchsurfing from a friend who had some pretty positive things to say about it, so I said to myself, why don't give it a try. And here I am. :D
I like meeting new people, but I like meeting people from foreign countries ever more, because I think we are actually all the same. Different language is always an issue, but it shouldn't be a problem and it definitely shouldn't be a thing that's stoping people from communicating with each other. :)

Interests

I like all kind of sports, especially basketball. Besides that I like football, waterpolo, volleyball, cycling and NFL. Music is a big part of my life, so I spend a lot of time listening to it. Sometimes, I get that feeling that music can really heal a human being, primarily a person's soul. I also like watching TV shows, movies, playing video games and reading books. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite genres of music are punk rock and metalcore, but I can really listen to most of today's music, with the exception of anything that's not played with actual instruments, i.e. electronic music. :P
I watched alot of movies in my lifetime, so I can't really choose one, or even ten. Some of them that randomly comes to my mind are Gladiator, Fight Club, Donnie Darko, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, A History Of Violence, 12 Angry Men, Green Mile, Der Untergang, Die Welle, The Broken Circle Breakdown, The Road, Taxi Driver, V For Vendetta, Prisoners, Eastern Promises, Monsieur Lazhar, and many, many more... :D
When I was still a young boy, I read all Harry Potter and LotR books, and I like to say that they are still one of my favorite ones. I also read everything Albert Camus wrote, and it's not enough to say that I'm fascinated by his literature works. Book that I most recently read is Black Hills by Dan Simmons, and one of my all-time favorite book is Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to nearby country all by myself, just so that I could be at a Parkway Drive concert. After one and a half hour of unforgettable feeling, I spent all night at a bus station, and returned in Serbia the very next day. After I got off the bus, all sweaty and smelly, I had to go and take my exam, because that's the only way I could make it on time. Fortunately, I passed, got home, took a shower, and slept for half a day like a baby. :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some basic words and phrases in Serbian language. Also you can get in touch with our culture, and I can inform you a little better about famous people from Serbia who contributed to the society and world itself. :)
If you're a natural, I can easily teach you how to become a pro at pick-up basketball. :D
I'm always open to learning new things and sharing extraordinary and funny stories and adventures. :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some of the life experiences that I cherish, and I always love to have a good laugh about them, because you can't never get enough of it. I truly believe that laugh is one of the most important things in life. :D
