About Me
Hi
I'm Oli and if I have the wind in my hair I've probably got a grin on my face. I'm moving to Canada this summer to live the BC poutine dream and provide a drain on the nation's coffee resources.
I'm a pretty terrible writer, average photographer and excellent friend to all cats. I tend to spend my time running, cycling, hiking and swimming in circles, although I'm never happier then when my ass is positioned in a local hammock. I'll bore you to death with my love of mountains and if there's any music playing locally i'm already there. Give me a dark sky and I'll lie under the nebulas all night. One day, I'll finally learn not to butcher the ukelele.
Curiosity is good. So is cake.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My emigration plan is to meet as many people as possible - I'm moving solo which excites and scares the shit outta me in relatively equal level.

Music, Movies, and Books
Bookwise: I'll read anything from Hunter Thompson and Kerouac to William Boyd and Bill Bryson. Gregory David Roberts is achingly beautiful. Milan Kundera is seminal. Paolo Coehlo knows.
Music: if I like you, you get to see my ipod. Expect ranges from Laura Marling -> London Grammar -> Yo La Tengo -> Radiohead -> Wolf Alice -> Cigarettes After Sex -> The Decemberists -> Tame Impala -> Neil Young. Also electronic and shoegaze is joyous.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cycled + camped solo across Switzerland one September. And I don't know why I haven't done it again. Incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach you all sorts about yoga and the semi-religion that is plaid shirts. I'll try and fail not to sound like a coffee snob but in reality it's just me getting excited about manually ground cold-brew or Aeropressed Guatamalan medium roast.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm in love with cooking, especially for other people, and love learning new dishes above all from the different influences of the world. I'm super generous with the beers.
