Greetings folks! I just finished up university and am looking to experience the real side of life before pursuing a more permanent career (or maybe I can have a permanent career as a nomad). I played for the varsity soccer team at Western for the last 4 years and also hosted a weekly radio show that showcased eclectic music from around the world. Music is very important to me because it is a universal language that allows one to make connections with others, whether listening or playing. I am crazy about adventuring and hiking so I am always sure to weave some aspect of this into my travels. There are few better feelings than getting out into nature and freeing yourself of all the silly little concerns we have in life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My longtime buddy Jeff and I just got back from an amazing trip on the east coast of Canada where we Couch Surfed in Montreal, Quebec City, St. John's, and Portland Maine. This was my first experience with Couchsurfing and it truly was a fantastic experience. All of the hosts were awesome people and we had so much fun spending time with them. I love Couchsurfing because the people on here seem to be the type of people I like to meet: open-minded, adventurous, interesting, friendly, and cultured etc. The people I've met on Couchsurfing are doing such cool things that it has given me inspiration and helped me redefine what I think I can do in my life. I believe that every new person you meet has a slightly different perspective on life which helps you grow and become a more well-rounded individual (this is about as cheesy as I get, but I stand by my words).
