Hi, I'm Liv. I'm an artist so I like to spend as much time as possible creating things (about half of my luggage is taken up with art supplies, being able to make things that look good is more important to me than looking good myself!)
I also gain a lot of inspiration from wonderful experiences, like meeting new people with interesting personalities, exploring and seeing beautiful sights.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd really like to meet some new people and expand my horizons while I'm travelling. I love to learn, no matter what the subject, so being able to talk to people with different backgrounds and experiences to my own would be great.

Interests

I love cooking, in fact I love food in general.
I really enjoy mini adventures, this is the longest I've ever been away from home before, so this is actually quite a big adventure.
I really like to spend time in galleries, parks, museums, cute cafes/bars, or just wondering around and seeing what happens.
Obviously art is my main focus, its the thing that makes me happiest and causes me to completely lose track of time and forget to eat sometimes. (if you want to see the type of things I make, my instagram is Olivi_arghh )

Music, Movies, and Books

Books
Books that have really intense, detailed descriptions are my absolute favourite kind, ones that make you completely forget that you even have a book in your hands because you're so immersed in the world they create. Perfume is one of my favourite books for that reason, even though the actual story is terrying. (other similar favourites: White Oleander, The Girls, Paulina and Fran, The Goldfinch, The Long Earth, Green Girl) If you love books we can have a very long conversation!
Movies
I like most kinds of films: Indie films, comedies, horror, documentary, you name it, I'm probably willing to watch it!
Music
I like pretty much every genre of music I've ever heard. If I listen to it for long enough, I'll find something to enjoy. (Current awesome bands/ musicians: Lorde, Lewis Del Mar, Alt J, The XX, Arctic Monkeys, Tom Rosenthal)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Nowhere festival (in the Spanish desert, in July) and survived!
There was the most amazing, varied, vibrant combination of people there, and it was unbelievable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd really like to meet some kind of artistsic/ creative person at some point, so we can share experiences and tips and learn from each other. (or maybe just hang out and sketch things)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm quite compact, tidy and quiet (when I need to be) so I wouldn't be a massive nuisance to have around. Cooking is one of my favourite things to do, so I'd love to cook with/ for you (I'm vegetarian and adore garlic and stir fries) I'm up for going anything from curling up in PJs to to watch a film, to going out and exploring or partying.
And if you'd like to gain some drawing tips or recommendations of great films/ webcomics/ books/ music/ undiscovered artists, I can definitely help you out.
