hello hello! i'm leah. i recently moved to edinburgh from canada on a working holiday-maker visa. my plan is to travel as much as possible and see as many new places as i can while i'm here.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i just joined this last night, so i haven't done anything yet! i would love to meet new people while travelling, as well as welcome people to edinburgh and show them around [show myself around too haha] and maybe even offer up a place to stay. we'll see.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

well i haven't had any experience couchsurfing through a website like this before, but my couches in canada have definitely been put to good use! i've often given touring bands space to crash, for as long as up to one week. as well friends of friends of friends type people i've sorta known online have stayed with me and great friendships have formed through there. i stayed on a strangers couch in amsterdam [my friend knew her through an online music community] and her and her boyfriend were great hosts.

Interests

i love love love music. good music. good live music especially. halifax has a really great local music scene and combined with bands coming through town, i was usually out at a show 3-4 days a week. i've definitely slowed down since coming to edinburgh, but only because i don't know the local music yet and haven't found the right bands for me.
