About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living a joyful, contented life is the challenge!!!
ABOUT ME
I've had a lifetime of travelling, mainly within Australia, but with 12 years or so in various other countries such as USA, Mexico, Panama; Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, South Africa, Europe.
PHILOSOPHY
Aaaaaah! "personal philosophy"!!!! Such a SIMPLE subject!!! I've finally arrived at the place where I think that if you have an easy-going nature; understand that life's mysteries are to be lived; that its problems are to be solved; that it's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness; that joy and love are life's paramount virtues......then everything else just falls into place.

Just about all English comedy tickles my funnybone, especially Monty Python, Yes Minister etc. I love watching movies that tell great stories from any nation.
As for books: MAN!!! I just LOVE writers like Leo Tolstoy, John Steinbeck, Alice Walker, Alan Duff, Kipling, George Orwell, Miles Franklin, A S Neill, Laurens van der Post, E F Schumacher and about a thousand other writers are my favourites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oyaaaiiirrrrr!!!!!!!!!
Every minute of every day there's something truly amazing going on right near you....
and if you spend too much time looking at these technological marvels, you'll miss the REAL marvels that Mother Nature has in abundance.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you've ever wanted to know everything about opals, the Queen of Gems; then I'm your man!
(and if you love opals, and want to know an awful lot about them, but we never get to meet, read these books: The World of Opal, by Eckhert; Opal, The Phenomenal Gem, by some American group whose name I can't recall at the moment; and any books by Len Cram because of his ability to photograph the most exquisite gems you'll ever see.
