About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience all the world has to offer and make the most of the time I am given on this Earth.

ABOUT ME

I have been out of school for three years. I worked in Milwaukee, as a equity (stock) analyst until February 2011. I have since taken some time off to pursue my passion, traveling. My favorite way to travel is to have no expectations and have as few plans as possible, adapting to your current situations and maximizing the enjoyment of it all. I will literally see any place, at least once.
I plan on assimilating back to the "normal" world at the end of June and moving to downtown Chicago. In the meantime, the possibilities are endless.

PHILOSOPHY

I try not to take myself too seriously. I am always striving to maximize happiness and minimize pain

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am initially joining this site to couch surf out to the Pacific Northwest. I will eventually pay it forward, by opening up my couch once I am done traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never done any CouchSurfing like this site advocates, but have extensive travel experience, including independent travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have seen more movies than 99% of people. I enjoy all sorts of movies, but I would be very hard pressed to give a favorite one. It'd be safe to say, these five movies would find their way into my top ten list - Snatch, Love Actually, Gone Baby Gone, Inception, Poolhall Junkies. I enjoy music all over the spectrum. My favorite artists are Tom Petty, Hootie & the Blowfish, and The Rolling Stones. I have recently really gotten into Noah & the Whale. My favorite book of all-time is East of Eden (Steinbeck).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The coolest thing I have ever done is hike the Inca Trail in Peru. Four Days/Three Nights to get to Machu Picchu. I have been very fortunate with travel in my life, but nothing comes close to the breath taking views that are Machu Picchu.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know what to necessarily put in here, so I would say I have a strong ability to communicate how the capital markets function, whereas I think most people view the stock market as legalized gambling I can explain its practical applications and why people invest. Kind of nerdy no doubt. I also love to swap traveling stories, as that as always provided me with inspiration to go and see the places I have seen.
