About Me

See all the secret spots and classical music history Europe has to offer!

I have just recently relocated to Berlin to continue my career as an opera singer. I am very excited about starting this new chapter in my life. It's going to be an epic journey! (PS: I have a fundraising page for my relocation and upcoming audition costs. Please help me reach my goal!! http://www.gofundme.com/c0n8zc )

I was once intermediate, now rusty with German, so if you are fluent, I will most likely annoy the heck out of you trying to get you to speak with me.

In the winter, I am an absolute snowboarding FIEND. If you snowboard, you are welcome to come with me.

I'm also really into lindy hop!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I am a recovering couchsurfing addict! I am recently returning to the community after an approximate 3-year absence for many reasons. I love hosting, and especially surfing. I like to take my surfers out to my favorite pubs, clubs, and restaurants, or, depending on the night, swing dances, et cetera. As a surfer, I like to get lost (on purpose!) in the cities as often as possible.

I've surfed in:

Österreich: Wien, Salzburg Czech Republic: Praha France: Paris Deutschland: Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig, Dresden, Köln, München, Mannheim, Marburg/Rosenthal, Wiesbaden, Züntersbach Greece: Athina, Nea Peramos Italia: Verona, Milano, Bergamo U.S.: New York City, New York

I've hosted people from: Spain, U.S., Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Thailand, Belgium, Israel, France, China, Canada etc

Music, opera, politics, language, snowboarding, Islam, crossword puzzles, reading, astronomy, card-playing, and lots more!

Music, Movies & Books

My favorite books are Perfume by Suskind, philosophy books, the works of Chuck Palahniuk, and books about music. I love opera, but I'm always open to learning about new composers or operas I've not yet seen. I like 90s R&B, top 40, rap, hip hop, big band, swing, you name it. I'm a music connoisseur!

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Life is so beautiful and wild, it's hard to pick just one or two. In 2009-2010 and again in 2011, I couchsurfed all over Europe, and it was both terrifying and unforgettable. My fondest memories are from my experiences there, and I will never forget the feeling witnessing a production of Don Giovanni in the Estates Theater in Prague, where Mozart himself first premiered it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I LOVE learning languages, one of my favorite parts of being an opera singer. If you aren't a musician, I would love to teach you about some things I know. I'd love to share my favorite music, or even books and movies. I can cook some American classics: a delicious apple crisp, scrumptious apple pie, a mean sloppy joe, and a tasty beef stew (granted I have the ingredients! You might need to show me the way to the local grocery store so I can share with you!).

Countries I've Visited

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, United States

Countries I've Lived In

Germany, United States
