ABOUT ME

So I just finished my BA in Poli Sci and English, and I was accepted into the University of Hong Kong for graduate studies in comparative lit. I was on my way from Toronto to Hong Kong last week to start school. Vancouver was a stop over for this flight. Needless to say, on the hour and half stop over in Van city, I decided that, no, I don't really want to go to grad school. So being the insane person I am quickly finding myself to be, I took my two carry on bags and just left. I found the closest (non-ghetto) hostel and have been here a week.

I have no money, no place to stay, no job. What am I doing you ask?

Well I deferred grad school a year and think, well, what the hell, maybe I will just work across Canada and live for a while.

And thats my story.

PHILOSOPHY

That this world would be really, really great if everyone cared. That not being apathetic and being involved is hard and heart-breaking, but always worth it.

That humanity is full of potential, despite all the horrible things every person must endure. That the human spirit is amazingly resilient. That paying it forward WILL make the world a better place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not sure how I participate. This is all very new to me. I can talk to people and connect? Perhaps build new friendships? I am also good at coffees.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. Which means this is all very new. I hope to change that!

Intereses

Majored specialized in International Relations and South East Asian post colonial literature. So I am one of those wacky leftest liberals. I love politics and literature.

I like music (but who does not?) took voice lessons for a while. I like people, I am interested in humanity,

Música, películas y libros

My hero in life is WB Yeats, I love his poetry. My favorite poem by him is either "Leda and the Swan" or "sailing to byzentium".

Music, I am pretty eclectic, most of the time I like Motown or Jazz. I also love that indie-folk genre us Political Science students are plagued to be stereotyped to love.

Movies? Old black and white romantics. I loved Katherine Hepburn's "Philadelphia Story" and Audrey's "Sabrina".

I wrote a crappy love song to my ex once and sang it in public, is that amazing?
