To conquer the French...language, that is :)...and to experience how others live, love, and learn.
I'm trying to work on my French with hopes of someday becoming fluent. And right now I will be living it up in Marseille (pour voir si elle est la plus belle ville de France!) ;)
I'm easy going and very laid-back. I'm more of a night person (somehow it's more festive and the wine tastes better, does it not? haha). I love to laugh, and I often enjoy being in relaxed, open atmospheres. I do fancy quiet conversations as well, and love to exchange ideas, life experiences, passions, and ambitions. Sharing is caring, after all.
Thus, traveling consumes my soul and state of being.
Life is meant to be something far more amazing than we can ever plan for-- it is those little (and sometimes major) surprises, detours, and even moments of regret that make life so raw, so valuable. And to me, that's a beautiful thing.

Unfortunately, I'm not in the position to host at the moment, but once I settle in, I'd be more than happy to grab some coffee or a drink and show you around.
None yet, but I'm excited to start! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love love LOVE going to concerts. My favorite artists include: Phantom Planet, OK Go, Phoenix, Silversun Pickups, Jason Mraz, Michael Buble. I am also a cover/acoustic/unplugged enthusiast. I especially love listening to classical Spanish guitar music. And even though I don't watch a lot of movies (see below), I really enjoy film scores (especially those featuring the talents of Yann Thiersen and Henry Mancini).
I don't get around to watching a lot of movies, but my favorite few are The Godfather, Snatch, and When Harry Met Sally.
I love reading mystery thrillers/suspenses, and I am deeply fascinated with historical fiction. My ultimate favorite read is The Counte of Monte Cristo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Had the soles of my shoes melt a bit when I climbed Pacaya (an active volcano in Guatemala)...I got to see (and definitely felt the heat of) lava still flowing beneath cracks-- so awesome!!!
