ABOUT ME

We are a good-natured couple who just got married last year in September. We are quitting our jobs to travel the world starting this March. We both come from Romania, but we met in the United States, where we both went to school. We love nature, hiking. We care about being fit, eating healthy. We like to think of ourselves as environmentalists, pretty liberal (Joana more than Ovidiu) and quite a dreamer. We plan to travel around the world: first around the United States (road trip), then around the Europe (Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Germany), also by car. Then we turn our attention to South America, from Peru all the way down to Ushuaia and perhaps Antarctica (Sept - Dec 2009). Last, but not least, we are heading East for another 3-4 months: Jordan, Nepal, Maldives, South East Asia, China, New Zealand, Australia, Polynesia, Fiji. We have a place in New York (Queens) that we can offer a couch in.

PHILOSOPHY

Do good wherever you go and can. Live in the moment, and live out your dreams. And when you don't have one. be at peace, for your purpose will come.

I have joined because I was inspired by the idea of sharing your living space with a fellow traveler. We know how hard it can be to find a decent place, and there is nothing like hospitality to make you feel welcome

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped out of an airplane. Yes, we had a parachute, but Joana is afraid of flying.
