About Me


Mika and me have decided to live in Tandzaver and re-activate it (we have created our own NGO: )!
Tandzaver village is an small paradise only 15 km away from the stunning Tatevs Monastery Complex. It has 140 inhabitants, were there are only 7 kids going to the school. We are working mainly in two fields: alternative education for the kids and the creation of sustainable bussiness for the locals. There is everything to do here, absolute freedom and the feeling that everything is possible if you just try!

We love people staying at our home! However, we realized that by doing Couchsurfing we were taking many opportunities from locals to hosts travelers. Prices for accommodation and food are really cheap (Armenia is cheap, but cheaper is Tandzaver) so it almost means nothing for travelers, and it means a lot for locals. (win win situation)

What I mean by this, Tandzaver is absolutely worth to visit and we will definitely take you around to the most amazing hikes (because we love to do that!). But please, think about what can you do to support this spectacular community and be a responsible traveler: If you would like to collaborate by paying for accommodation, then we will be happy to recommend you a local house where to experience the REAL armenian rural lifestyle. On the other hand, If you ask us for accommodation (and we will be happy to welcome you), please, ask also about which activity can you join during your stay in the village. Think about buying some homemade products from cute grandmas, order a sustainable dinner or join a horseback ride...

We just want to improve the quality of these people's live a little bit. Hope you understand.
