I am a sister, aunt, mother and grandmother.(I love those people)I like to explore new places and meet new people.I have an adventurous spirit and nothing makes me feel better then a good laugh.

Live and let live

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hosted once when everyone was out of town and I really enjoyed that.I look forward to being able to host more. For now I am joining some groups so I can get to know more people involved.

We always had couchsurfers in our house,we lived right outside of Washington D.C., but as far as OFFICIALLY...I was suppossed to surf in Jax,Fl. and was caught in such a bad rainstorm on the way that I had to cancel and stop at a hotel. I did host once and had a great time.

I spend a lot of time researching places I would like to see and what to do once I get there. I am experiencing things that I have seen all my life with such a different sense of wonderment that everything is fun and most of it is beautiful too!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am an avid reader(although I have never gotten through Anna Karinina).I like just about all kinds of music,I have my exceptions(I don't like rap music but I like Pitbull,I don't like heavy metal but I like Guns'n Roses)you get the idea.I listen to classic rock, top 40's and country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My father is buried in Arlington Cemetary. It leaves me speechless every time I am there.
My son and I visited Pearl Harbor and "The Punch Bowl" and...well, speechles again.
The power and beauty of Niagra Falls and the colors in the North Carolina mountains, just to name a few .

Teach, Learn, Share

I have done several things in my life but I don't know if I am qualified to teach someone else, unless they want to know how to play craps,I worked in a dice pit in a casino,I am qualified to do that. I have taught 3 people how to talk, how to read, how to count, how to drive, and helped them grow to be good people. That was my most important job(mother).
