ABOUT ME

I'm currently a graduate student in Education. I've traveled a lot around the US but not much outside. I'm wrapping up my "50 States by 35" tour, slowly but surely. Knocking out 5 more soon! I live my life in moderation and enjoy others who do also.

PHILOSOPHY

I need to do the most I can with the amount of time I have on Earth. I love meeting people and experiencing new things. I've been to Europe (England, France and Spain) and I need to branch out more. I told myself that my 31st year on Earth is going to be an adventure. CS is contributing to that. I love learning and doing new things. I'm somewhere between introverted and extroverted, and I'm pretty funny in a sarcastic/ cynical kind of way. I've got political and religious beliefs, but you'll never see me shoving them down anyone's throat. I'll live my life and you live your life and hopefully we can make this a better place.

I haven't done anything on here yet. Here's to hoping! A friend suggested I try this out to make the trip authentic and low-cost.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None... not a one. I've looked around on here a bunch of times, but never had the cojones to actually message anyone... until now. I've messaged one guy. THAT is my CS Experience!

Interests

I enjoy photography and people watching. I'll take random pictures of whatever. Usually just have the camera on my phone but can't complain. I love music (American Pop, Country, etc.). I enjoy my quiet time as much as I like hanging out with friends and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Not a huge reader but school has been changing that lately. I like scary movies, comedies, some action, some "chick flicks." I mostly listen to Top 40, some Alternative, Country, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a really serene moment in a park in Madrid. Being in the middle of the city with birds and trees, fish and paddle boats, beautiful statues and architecture. And no more than a block away was city life. So much tranquility in the middle of chaos.

Teach, Learn, Share

Wow, this one is deep. I know what it's like to be a stranger in a strange land. I've lived in 4 different states and have visited a bunch of others. I want to visit the others I have left in the next 4 or so years. I haven't traveled much outside of the US but want to do more of that, also. I want to experience the local flavor of a place and enjoy it from the resident point of view as opposed to the tourist (but there are always the hot-spots).
