Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are travelling at the moment so are using CS to meet new peeps, and maybe sponge on the occasional couch. Hopefully we'll be in a position to host when things settle down.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My wife and I have had lots of friends couch-surf when we we had our own place in Wellington, NZ, and Melbourne, Australia. We love the conversations that come up when you are living in someone's house.

I like most types of music, but especially post-rock, new folky stuff, gospel/americana. Some favourite authors: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, C.S. Lewis, Arthur Conan Doyle, Raymond Chandler, Maurice Gee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming around Emma Gorge in the Kimberley, Western Australia was as close to paradise as I've been. The pool is deep, cool and refreshing after the hike up, and if you get too cold you can head to the hot spring in the fractured rock adjacent. Two of my passions - hot springs and rocks!

Teach, Learn, Share

I majored in vocal performance at university and have choral conducting experience so would be happy to teach you a few tricks. All that training doesn't seem to have helped my karaoke skills though.
