About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Teaching myself Brazilian Portuguese

ABOUT ME

I'm an open mind, usually very diplomatic. I love to go out but enjoy loneliness too (with a good book). I read a lot, love to talk politics, sociology, culture, ... I grew up in several places with several languages. I love urban music styles and I am fascinated by the Afro Diaspora among many other things. I make beats, sing and rap in different projects too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music? from hip hop to reggae via jungle, drum&bass, electro and afrobeat. anything really except metal in its purest form.
So many books and albums to choose from ... Paul Auster, Hanif Kureishi, Caryl Phillips, ... and other post colonial literature. I love to read non fiction about urban identities, music, minorities, black identity, mixed race, but alos any sociopolitical or historical topic (Indian partition, South Asian diaspora, European Muslims, Women Rights, white South Africans, Cyprus, Armenians in Turkey, Jewish history, ... and so many other things)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania is the most impressive thing I have ever experienced.
Besides that: Bunji Jump in South Africa Bloukrans, sky diving above the Kilimanjaro, the mountain lands of Eastern Congo ... and on the other opposite: NY City
