ABOUT ME

I'm 25-year-old girl, originally from Lappeenranta which is a city in south-east Finland, now living and studying in Jyväskylä which is a city in central Finland. I'm an active and positive person who is always ready for some action and activities! My favorite freetime activities are snowboarding, traveling, reading, movies & music and in the summer time I spend time longboarding with my friends. I study English and journalism at the university of Jyväskylä and every once and a while I work too. The autumn 2009 I lived in Reykjavík for 4 and a half months, where I did my student exchange at the Háskóli Íslands (University of Iceland).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The first time I heard from CS was a couple of years ago, don't know why I didn't join earlier. Now I decided to join since I figured out that it is an amazing way to meet new people and travel around the world! I really hope I get visitors so I can show them what Finland is all about! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge fan of music and I love live music, music festivals and other live performances. In general, I like different styles in music, but most of all I listen to rock, punk, alternative/indie and electronic music. I'm always interested in watching movies and while I was in Reykjavík I was so excited to be able to visit the RIFF (Reykjavík International Film Festival). Whenever I have time I find a good book one of the best ways to relax. Unfortunately, due to the many books I need to read for school, there seems to be too little time to read anything else these days, which is a shame. But I try :)
