About Me

getting closer to The Offspring

I love beeing in motion, although the daily routine of a student is often static, but with freinds, partying and concerts as well as your family you can stay focused and deal with your obsticals. I very much enjoy cooking and the presence of friends and beloved ones, but once or twice a week i need time and space for myself, as i believe, most people would need too. I love games such as jungle speed or throwing the dice(Kniffel), but my favourite game is a russian cardgame called Durak(principle: attacking and defense). I very much enjoy the pub-atmospheres as much as clubs and discos. Musical dependancies: none! Open to Folk, Rock, Hip-Hop, Punk, Crossover, House or Reaggae or Ruhrpott-Hardcore=)Musical Preferences: yes->Punk. One of my idols, Arnold Schwarzenegger, not because of his biceps, but because of his attitude to give 100 percent and more, when you enjoy something and having your goal ahead. Other idols: The Offspring(because of the amazing sound of the album smash) as well as my Brother, he is the most focused and disciplined man I ever met. One thing i love is when people are in time, those are my german roots i guess=). What i don't like: Moskitos, the good-old-german-slave-behaviour, general conservative politics and people and especiallay student which don't ask questions, being critically brings you closer to the truth than believing what you are told=)
Traveling has not been the main field of my experience yet, but it may change with the right amount of courage end a rising sense for adventures. My last adventure had not been a couchsurfing experience. I visited france, hand in hand with my french girlfriend, which i meet here in essen on Friday 13th of may. She introduced me to her family within the countryside of the French north, september this year and opend my mind into a way of living on the countryside of pas de calais, le noooord. after one pleasant week, at the warm and beatiful house of her parents, my girlfriend and me went on "vendages". What means, together with 20 other angles we harvested 6 tons of wine a day, 36 tons the week. this was the most exhausting week of my life but one of my best ones ever. I got to know french culinary behaviour and traditions as well as the most tasty meals i ever had. Thanks honey for your patience with me =) How do i square the circle with this experience and couchsurfing? As i set up this account i had not a single idea what couchsurfing might be. I attended a meeting in the Gruga Park expecting a 20 people and finding a 60=) i thought this meeting made me one of yours but that was an naive illusion because. What it really meant to be, to feel, to see, to live, to eat, to fight and to love abroad, i realized on the 10 hour bus rie home. I visited foreign countries a dozen time in my life but havent opend such doors in myself as the two weks in france did, which were multicultural ones i guess. And I havent planed to shut them, because outside the borders of germany there must be many interesting places and persons to meet, which could open a few more doors, if you know what i mean.
You cannot discribe a whole personality in a few lines but those experiences i'd like to share with you.

I recently found out that Carpe diem does not mean you should use the day but to enjoy the the day. The latter interretation points much more to the fact that having a smile and endirphines in your veins is much more cheering up, than to use the day for things you have to do, e.g. work, household...

so keep on enjoying=)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Yea how i'm goung to participate? good question, well i think go surfing for the first time and then having some surfers at my place. that was a recommendation by a nice individual i meet at the couch surfing pick nick at the gruga park in summer 2011.

My first journey should be irland, because of two reasons. St patrick and my birthday as well as a good fellow of my girlfriend, who attends an internship in dublin in 2012.

Couch surfing Picknick in Summer 2011.

As i iwrote above, it was a nice meeting but my predjudices were to strong and i was setting up a profile for the wrong reasons such as finding a partner, but that is really what nearly no couchsurfer is interessted in, so i deleted this idea and filled in a little of muslticultural interrest and a pinch of curiosity as well as a tee spoon of cultural sensitivity et voila you have an example of a mind that is able to change.

One of my greatest interrests is making music with a friend of mine. He and me we are both guitarists and are trying to improve our techniques and are now in the creation process of our own set of songs, we would like to show different audiences.
Appart from this i am a culinary scientist, working on new recepies everytime i switch on my stove.
I like to do aparatus gymnastics and yoga for the warm up in order to keep a minimum of workout during a week of studying. During the Holidays i turn of working and switch on enjoying, basketball, long nights, sleeping and sleeping...
