To write, to travel well, to see Mexico upclose and have fun.
I'm from Michigan, but have lived on the east coast of the U.S. for the last few years until I moved to Guanajauto in September of 2007. Now I am working at a bed & breakfast here, as well as writing and learning more spanish every day.
I feel like a 'carpe diem' kind of person with a strong inclination to be peaceful and let things come to me. I'm lucky to be both of these things. I believe in luck more than fate, but in chance more than luck. Words, words, words.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I don't have a couch to offer becuase I don't have my own place, but I want to use couchsurfing to travel mexico
I've ended up in some strange places in New York. As a kid, my mother dragged me to some weird places and I got used to staying with people I just met. I've stayed on a lot of pull-out couches, especially one at my cousins in Wisconson. One New Year's in college I woke up naked in a recliner after a losing game of strip twister. That was a great morning.
Books, poetry, farming. Spanish. Mexico. Women. Pirates. I love music but can't play it and want to learn. I love the sound of William Carlos Williams's voice. I'm pretty interested in my family too, and in how people relate to one another. How people regard themselves. Time. Cuisine. Free stuff. Companions. Trips. Drugs. The use of leisure time. The pursuit of good work.
Music, Movies, and Books
the Life and Times of Michael K was very influential when I read it. I need to be entertained by all these arts.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Costa Rica in April of 2007. I did a pilgrimage in Mexico in the winter of 2008. Hawaii, Ireland, Spain, Italy.
