About Me

Currently studying an Erasmus Mundus International MSc in Infectious Diseases and One Health, through the Université de Tours, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, and the University of Edinburgh. Venturing to discover as much of France, Spain and Scotland as I can while doing so. Always keen to hear of others' travels and wisdom. Previously a research scientist, orderly, bartender, social action organiser, science communicator and relentless traveller.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A bed, the opportunity to meet locals and expatriates, and learning of the tips and tricks people use to travel far and well across the across the globe :)

Interests

I enjoy hiking particularly, and find it both meditative and conducive to problem-solving. I am currently in the development of a podcast, as a platform for scientific communication. Languages are a constant fascination, and I enjoy learning of their shared and divergent structures. In the same vein, I appreciate travelling, and venture as often as possible to learn of other cultures, outlooks and approaches to problem-solving. I find that this habit readily complements my other pursuits, and keeps me ready to change both my environment and mindset regularly. I plan to hike the Camino Francés trail (Spain) in 2019, and the Pacific Crest Trail (U.S.A.) in the future.
