About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking forward to meeting new people and earning experiences and this is of course one of the best tools to achieve these objectives.

Interests

I enjoy a lot getting to know people; I find listening to others' experiences and sharing points of view is the thing which makes you grow most as a person.

Music, Movies, and Books

Regarding the music, I like many different styles, depending on the moment I can listen to a big range of music and I am always open to learn more styles and groups.

About the cinema, I like directors like Tarantino or Guy Ritchie, but I also enjoy gangsters and action films if they are good.

My favourite writers may be Paulo Coelho, Milan Kundera, Matilde Asensi, Isabel Allende and Stephen King (and not mainly for the terror books; he writes other styles very nicely). I also like books of interesting topics (mainly psychological) from which you can learn useful or curious things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe one of the things I am more proud of is going to Cardiff (Wales) to work. I knew I had got a job for the summer all in a sudden and one week after I was there with only one week reservation in a residence. I arrived there on a Friday and it resulted to be plenty of much older people so I realized I would not make many friends with who I could go out there. Also, my workplace was a factory in a town out of the city; it was not probable to make friends there so I had to do something... Going to the street to meet people.

The day after, Saturday, I went to have a walk trying to speak with people and, after trying hard and hard to find someone, I ended up having a party until every place closed with some really crazy and funny guys. I felt really nice at the beginning of the night, until they told me they were spending the weekend there because they rode some kind of bikes an had a race in the city... the next morning I would wake up being alonein the city again.

On Sunday Spain was playing the final of the world cup so I had a very nice chance; I went out and was again open to meet new people. I met like a thousand people but I was more unlucky with each one I met. One seemed nice but lived out of the city, another one was absolutely crazy (not in the good sense of the word)... It went like this until the match finished. I was starting my way home and then I saw 2 girls with the Spanish shirt... "¿¿¿Are you Spanish???" They were, and they were studying English that summer there. They took me with the people they were studying with (from all kind of nationalities) and there I made a very nice group of people with who I spent all my stay there, only at the second night going out alone in a completely strange city.
