About Me

I study Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Bremen, where I'm also engaged in a project called the "Souterrain" that tries to generate a place outside of the stress and pressure that the daily life at the University causes.
I play table tennis and volleyball, also I can throw a football and know a little bit about soccer, but I don't know about the latest developments in those sports so talking about that will be more of a monologue with me listening ;)
I play bass and the drums and have been in one band where we performed a few gigs and in a few projects that have never lasted very long. Right now I play in a Swing/Jazz-Combo and in a Punk-Band that we just founded which is quite a contrast, but I think that's rather a good thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel without the need to sleep in boring hotels where everybody isolates themselves from the place, culture and people they claim to visit by travelling. Instead I want to get in touch with locals who can give me first-handed insights and advices on what to see and where to go. If it saves me a boring trip to a overrated tourist attraction I wont complain either.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is Zeuhl, Progressive Rock, Jazz, Jazz Rock, Progressive Metal and so on. But as you can see, I like music that is a little unusual ;)

My favorite book is 1984 by George Orwell but I guess I had to read it again to say for sure...

I really liked Jim Jarmusch's Night on Earth but besides that, I'm not the kind of guy that watches movies all the time. But I like if you have to give something back to the movie to understand it and don't just sit there and get entertained.

Countries I’ve Visited
