Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My magazine writing career allows me to visit new cities and meet new people. It's a good time. The work side of my trips brings to people who are crazy, famous, or both. So on my free time and my overnights it's nice to meet people who aren't crazy or even necessarily famous. (Fame is allowed; it's just not required.) I like to come across all sorts of people and hear their stories about themselves and their cities. If they can point to, or even join me for, their area's best coffee, cocktails, and vegetarian grub, then those friends are the real MVPs.

Keep in mind that I'm an absolute diva, so I'm trying meet people whose homes are free of guns, meth, attack cats, and sweltering heat. I can't emphasize enough that I'm not a proponent of guns, meth, attack cats, and sweltering heat. Other than that, I'm easy and not too awful to meet.
