About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world. So please, I'd love to hear about your travels as well!

ABOUT ME

Northern California born and raised. A few years into my second adult life now and it's time to see the rest of the world. Scuba diving is my most recent interest. So top on my list is a warm water trip. I love to talk travel and hear stories of other people's adventures. I also love to show off the beautiful places near my home.

PHILOSOPHY

There are a gazillion places in the world and just as many opinions. I'd like to see as many and hear as many as possible. There can be no better education. Life is short and so I know I'll never come close to getting to experience everything beautiful this world has to offer . I'll be happy with a handful of good ones. That is the best I can I can come up with at the moment.... bottle of wine half empty and all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't hosted any CS's yet! I have a couch as well as a cute small trailer with a full bed. My house only has one bathroom however. My teenage son is here half time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Gosh, I have none so far.

Interests

Hiking, scuba diving, kayaking (but I'm a novice), Wine making, wine tasting, cooking, other things probably not appropriate for this little box (like watching netflix)

Music, Movies, and Books

My most recent favorite author is Richard Brautigan. But I still think Three cups of tea and The Kite Runner changed me, Denis Johnson, Michael Pollan, Chuck Palahniuk, Malcolm Gladwell. Dear Sugar might be the best book I've read in the last year. My current guilty pleasure: Bankok Haunts by John Burdett

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I pet a seahorse in the Caribbean last fall.

Teach, Learn, Share

I build things. I make things. But those things aren't easy to share with couchsitters. I'll give this more thought. I do need help bottling my first batch of wine soon.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
