About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get to Aberdeen and try to get a job and room

ABOUT ME

Hi everyone,
The name's Paul and I guess the game is traveling.
For the last 5 years or so I've been through South America, India, South East Asia, Australia and tried to cycle through Europe, lived in a couple of places around the globe like Madrid, Ho Chi Minh City, Broome, Australia to finally end up in Malaga, Spain.

I love to travel and live in different places, so much that it's getting hard to stand still.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy tends to change as time goes by.
At the moment I would say my philosophy might be: Seize the day!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to use couchsurfing more this time around.
I'd like to use it to meet more people and hopefully have fun activities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met up with various cool people from around the globe, good experiences, good parties, good times.

Interests

My first love is the guitar which I've been playing for so long that I don't really know how long.
I picked up painting in Malaysia and have been dabbling in that every now and then if the opportunity arises.
Also I love being in the outdoors, it gives me the idea of being more free :)
Books are a big thing for me as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most kinds of music, but at the moment gypsy jazz has caught my imagination and I'm fervently trying to imitate Django Reinhardt on my guitar :P
I'm not the biggest movie fan, I'm bad at remembering all the actors and actresses names. But I would say I like weird "different" movies.

Ahh and books. There are too many books I like to list here. I like to read fiction by foreign (non-western) authors. And I like all kinds of non-fiction as well.
Whatever I find interesting at that moment I guess.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made a bicycle trip from my home town in Holland to Flers in France where my trusty old bike gave up on itself

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a bit of guitar, music theory and stuff
I want to learn about EVERYTHING :D
