About Me

I am a writer and freelance translator for a very long time now, never expected this.

Music, dancing, writing and traveling is what I live for. Often you can find me together with my love Kerstin and my son David. We shared many deep moments in our lives, and are a very good team.

I am practicing the Hawaiian Healing Massage Lomi Lomi Nui, being inspired by travels to Hawaii that gave me insight in the remains of the traditional Hawaiian cultures.

Beside being enthusiastic about dancing (5Rhythms are my favorite) I love music, praciticing regularly singing circles with people, where we interpret chants and mantras in our own manner.

Interests

I like being surprised by new views and statements about life, culture, arts, music etc. That is why I enjoy reading, traveling, meeting people. Being a writer, translator and lomi lomi masseur is for me a wonderful opportunity to pursue my interests in my profession/s.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was about five a clock in the morning, when we reached the Haleakala Volcano Crater on Maui, Hawaii. Two hours earlier we started our trip through the night from the west coast to the top at about 10000 Feet above see level. Being habituated to the warm, tropical climate at the coast, we were surprised by the winterly cold and the rough landscape that expected us. We entered the crater, and saw nothing but dense clouds in a bed of dark rock walls. After a while, the sky began turning brighter, and when the sun broke through, the clouds below us shimmered silvery, contrasting increasingly with the colourful blue of the sky above us. When the sun was fully risen, it created a yellowish thread on the horizon, deviding earth and clouds from the sky; it felt like flying while standing on solid ground. The new day was born. Only five minutes later, all the clouds were vanished, giving us a clear, wide view into the marvelous crater of the Haleakala, which is Hawaiian and means "House of the sun".
