ABOUT ME

I currently live in Bristol, have been here for 3 years. The best thing is the free festivals Bristol holds in the summer. I have met some quality people whilst being here and a friend who has moved back to Freemantle in Australia got me inspired to go travelling. I am going at the end of this month Feb - and will be going to WA, EA and Thailand, teaching English for a month in a Thai school. I am going for 3 and half months. Looking forward to the experience ahead. I am independent person, and like being on my own as well as spending time with friends. I currently work as a part time administrator and I also run an art craft workshop for teenagers with asperges and am an artist/designer. I screen print onto fabric, to produce bags and cushions to sell.

PHILOSOPHY

Not to give up on your dreams. Simple things in life make me happy, in particular family and friends. I like to laugh and generally an optomistic person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been on a recent with Bristol CS's which was good, and to find out more about Couch surfers. I am about to go travelling for 3 and a bit months and as I like meeting people, couch surfing took my interest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Other than being on a walk with other CS's in Bristol, I am new to it.

Interests

Like to be outdoors, whether it is walking in the countryside or being by the coast. Enjoy dancing, and occassionaly go to Salsa. Like photography, print making, visiting art galleries, markets, seeing new places, eating, drinking and going to the cinema and chilling out.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have quite a diverse taste in music, at the moment I particularly like, Plan B, Kings of Leon, arcade fire, The ting tings, Adele, and 80's music, my guilty pleasure.
Films I like include Amelie, Little miss sunshine, No Country for old men.
Not a big reader. Like the book The Piano, and enjoy reading magazines, and sonetimes buy the Times at the weekend.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hopefully my creative skills and being practical would come in useful. I can teach art and craft, sewing skills. I would like to learn to become a better surfer and to know about the area I will be staying in. Local knowledge would be good.
