About Me

สวัสดีครับ Sawasdee Krub!

I just graduated last December with a master degree and will be going back to school this August for my PhD. So that leaves me with a few months to work and to see the world. Isn't that marvelous? :)

Anywho, when someone asks me where I am from, it is so hard for me to answer because to me home is where my family and friends are. In a nutshell, I spent the first 16 years of my life in Bangkok, Thailand before I embarked on an ongoing study abroad trip. Since then, I spent about 2 years in Singapore and 8 years in the United States. I absolutely love meeting new people and learning about their cultures/traditions. I believe that everyone has a story to share and I would love to hear them.

I could always stay at airbnb or hostel, but I won't get to learn much about the locals' culture that way, right?

These are some of my favorite books I enjoyed:

A Song of Ice and Fire - George R. R. Martin
Things Fall Apart - Chinua Achebe
Harry Potter - JK Rowling

Any movies directed by Christopher Nolan and Steven Spielberg

I listened to a lot of music including classical, pop, rock, oldies, and r&b.
My recent favorite song that I can't seem to get out of my head is "Closer" by the Chainsmokers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Together with my friends, we spent two weeks in the rural mountainous area of Chiangmai, Thailand. We taught English to the kids and constructed a small library for them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to think that I am fairly good at cooking thai food - but who knows?
