I am a Hungarian retired transport engineer living in Sydney since 1990 with my wife Kate, also Hungarian, architect-town planner and heritage consultant, also retired. I have been a senior lecturer at the University of New South Wales until 2005, then a manager and adviser at the state Department of Transport, NSW. We have a son who lives in Hobart, Tasmania with his Australian partner, and a daughter who lives in Brussels, Belgium with her Spanish partner and their two children. We have been travelling a lot around the world and also around Australia with our caravan and 4WD vehicle.

Although I am new to Couchsurfing, we like meeting new people and have hosted people sometimes whom we met on the internet or elsewhere. We are open to new ideas and new experiences.
