About Me

Dear Couchsurfer,
I am Peter, love nature, cultures, cooking, reading and I'm crazy about music - especially classical music. Long ago I sang in a band and later in the student choir of my universitiy. I have a driving licence and can play 3 chords on the guitar.

Sincerely yours :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like travelling and I'm very curious, so I like e.g. to get to know other people, other cultures.

I can't roam the world as often as I would like to. Instead, I can house YOU.

My girlfriend and I love to travel by jetplane as well as by local transportation. We grab our tent to do a minimalistic bicycle journey every year since we are together. At home in Berlin, we enjoy the inspiring cultural and ethnic diversity of our sizzling city and the calm, simple beauty of its surrounding countryside.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Mahler, Beethoven, Mozart, Russian composers, Chris Rea in his early eighties phase, Saga, Pink Floyd and their epigones. Music styles of melodic, rhythmic and tonal complexity that still are tonal and melodic (sunny Chinese folk tunes, Caucasian chord progressions, ... )

movies... so many ... some of the latest: Captain Fantastic, Lion, Moonlight, La La Land, WEIT - Story of a way around the world (crowd-funded German documentary).
or: Once I was, Cera una volta il west, the very first (and only) Star Wars, Elling, ...
