I'm a student of Physics from Auckland, New Zealand. I am now doing my Masters in Germany. I may study science but I love learning things from every subject you can imagine. Art, literature, psychology, politics, history: you name it. I used to study philosophy.

I like listening to what people have to say about their lives and their perspectives on where they live and what's going on around them. I find it fascinating to get some insight into someone else's life for a few moments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The opportunity to see things from a local perspective, to meet interesting people and to be able to travel on a budget.

I hope to be able to host couchsurfers in the future, when I am more settled.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music and jazz. Favourites are Bach, Chopin, Debussy and Miles Davis. But I love music in general, so I find something to like in almost any song or artist old or new.

I love movies with a sense of style. Classic movies like Casablanca or Roman Holiday, Wes Anderson films, the Coen brothers. Action movies and comedies are fun. Just about my favourite movie is Rocky. I love animation, especially Studio Ghibli. I'm not big on horror or superhero movies.

I mostly read non-fiction, especially books about science or economics. But some fiction too.

I can teach you physics! Or math if you like. It's not as daunting as most people think and really is beautiful and powerful once you realise this.

I love to play guitar and sing, so I can share this with you if you like.
