About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get into Medical School. On the road to find out.

ABOUT ME

'You are strange... but in a good way.'
'Laid back.'
'Unshaven.'
'You should see him dance! He can dance like Shakira!'
'Eyebrows!'
"Full of positive energy, always in a good mood, always willing to help"
'What do you need that sledgehammer for?'
'Really narrow minded. Hate traveling and meeting new people.'
'oh, Ubuntu.'
'Man, you're overthiniking things. Relax.'
'Dude, you can't just... oh. Well I guess you can.'
'Sir, I need you to get down from that tree. Now.'
'Pragmatic, sober, laid back. Not really the creative type.'

PHILOSOPHY

There was a wise homeless guy who once said a lot of pretty neat things like 'love your enemies', 'love your neighbor as yourself' and 'come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest.' I'm trying to emulate that guy.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Though exploring new countries is exciting and all I must say that the thing I remember most are people. I rather remember what we shared as friends instead of gaping at sights. I remember the evenings we cook, laugh and explore together not that building or that
I've hosted mostly. Have not gotten the chance to surf yet.
I welcome guests into my home to extend hospitality and friendship. I am not here to be used as a hotel/hostel.
Please mention rabbit starvation so I know you actually read through my profile.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Horrible, funny, surprising, pleasant, sad, shocking, happy, confusing. And sometimes, all at once. It's been fun.
I once had a guy over. He wasn't exactly friendly or chivalrous by Austrian standards but he was very honest. That was actually pretty awesome. I appreciate honesty a lot.

Interests

I give playing Guitar+Bass a try, Martial arts, camping, hiking, climbing trees, cooking & eating the stuff I cook, Linux, medical stuff
I tend to binge eat information on whatever I currently take interest in. And I have the strong urge to try to understand things, people and situations. My mind works in a logical and analytical fashion which cherishes understood systems and patterns. Most people don't fit a pattern which makes it all the more interesting getting to know people and to understand why they decide the way they decided and

One Amazing Thing I've Done

When I was taught thankfulness it changed everything: how I saw food, warm showers, the stuff I own, a warm bed, good friends.
Be thankful not because someone else might have less but be thankful for the abundance you live in.

Teach, Learn, Share

A few tips and tricks for camping, building fires, hanging hammocks.

What I Can Share With Hosts

A bed/couch/floor, depending on my schedule a short or extensive walk in the city with a bit of historical background on different sites
aaand probably food :P
On a side note: I am the kind of guy who will ask everybody to sit on the carpet if there aren't enough chairs for everybody. If possible I will rather host you even when I'm busy than to not host you at all.

Countries I've Visited

Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Guinea, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland
